Buddha Pagoda

This pretty pagoda, seated atop Qufu Hill, was the perfect place to have a rest – in the shade! – before continuing on with our hike.

    “Any thoughts on how to shoot in bright sunlight, expose for a subject in the shade without blowing out the background, or how to increase the vibrancy of certain colours in a shot without creating unwanted colour tints?”
    Flash, surprisingly, works well in these scenarios. I know what you’re thinking. . . FLASH?! Outside???? But yeah, for realz. Also, many photo editors these days have the ability to make selective adjustments to certain areas of a photo. Maybe look for that option OR create a mask. 😀
